With about £253 million spent at the beginning of last season on new signings, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is once again ready to provide the funds for making more signings this summer according to reports.

Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel is hoping to launch a challenge for the Premier League title next season as the Blues currently see themselves occupying the fourth position in the league. In order to achieve this, Tuchel will need a reliable striker and then a new defender to strengthen his attacking and defensive positions.

The trio of Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud haven’t really convinced as a reliable center-forward for the Blues. As a result, Chelsea have been linked with some top strikers like Erling Haaland which remains one of club’s top attacking targets along with Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane. Tuchel also want Niklas Sule from Bayern Munich.

Tuchel has really transformed Chelsea since his arrival in January, guiding them to the Champions League and FA Cup finals. The Chelsea’s board are happy with him and are hoping to give him the funds he needs to do better next season.
